Welcome Kachingler! Here's a bullet-point guide on how Kachingle works for Kachinglers and Site Owners.

Being a Kachingler

As a Kachingler, you'll notice the Medallions on sites you visit now have purple medallions, and they recognize you by your Display Name.

When you want to start contributing to a site, or blog, or other digital stuff, just mouse over the Medallion so it expands, then click Start kachingling.

The Medallion turns green, the Kachingler count goes up (that’s you!), and you're now kachingling the site!

Each day you come back, the Medallion will recognize you and count your visit. There are no additional clicks required.

At the end of each month, your $5 Pay-In will be distributed among all the sites you've chosen to kachingle, based on how many days you visited each one.

Being a Site Owner

After joining Kachingle, you can add a Medallion to your own site in less than 5 minutes. All you need is your URL, a description of your site, a logo to upload, and a PayPal address for Pay-Outs. We can also pay by check, in case you are not able to receive payments via Paypal.

In creating a Medallion, you're provided a small piece of javascript code that you place in your pages (and instructions on how to place it), which creates the Medallion on your site that...

• Allows Kachinglers to become permanent contributors to your site with a single click
• Recognizes your Kachinglers and counts their return visits, which then become contributions
• Encourages your readers to become Kachinglers and support your site
• Allows anyone to see who's kachingling your site, which begets more Kachinglers through social networking
• Payments from your Kachinglers then show up in the Current Balance you can see next to each Medallion on your Sites I Own page.
• At the end of each month (based on the date your Medallion was created), you'll receive a Pay-Out to your PayPal account, less 15% which Kachingle retains to cover the cost of processing payments (we pay all related PayPal fees) and our commission.
